Beautiful jaw fragment with 40 teeth of mosasaurus beaugei. This extinct marine reptile was the terror of the sea during the late Cretaceous (66 to 72 million years ago). This jaw fragment is completely original and very nicely preserved. As with most mosasaurus teeth some teeth were broken in the layer. The little cracks are still visible but the teeth are stabilized with a preservative. A number of teeth are repositioned in the jaw. The complete matrix measures 63 cm x 30 cm. The back is stabilized with plaster as usual with these types of fossils. I brought it myself from my last trip to the phosphate mines at Oued Zem in Morocco in 2018.
