Helmut Stege was a well-known photographer in the GDR. He had his studio for portrait photography in Quedlinburg. His passion and main occupation was nudist photography on the beaches of the Baltic Sea.
Stege's photos were often published on the famous last page of the magazine "Das Magazin". This was one of the few media companies in the GDR that was allowed to
publish nude photos. Stege published with his name in almost all known nudist magazines of the Federal Republic: Sonnenfreunde, Helios, and others The photo offered here also comes from the estate of one of these magazines and is therefore very rare.
