Gesigneerd; Antoon Coolen - Kerstmis in de Kempen [met opdracht] - 1937

Antoon Coolen's dedication was probably addressed to family members. Antiquarian bookseller Schuhmacher made this note on the first page: ‘Uit het bezit van familie van AC’.
The illustrations by Gerard Baksteen are beautifully coloured and somewhat cubist.
The book is well bound and there is no foxing on the pages.
The dust jacket has been restored. There is some discolouration, especially on the spine, but as a result the cloth of the front cover, back cover and spine is still in very good condition. See pictures.
