Very unique and high-quality whisky from William Greer and Co. Known as OV, it was a high-class blended malt, and was well known for using whisky from the now-closed St Magdalene distillery in the Lowlands.

William Greer moved from Belfast to Glasgow in 1893, where he became a prominent wine and spirits merchant. The company was first purchased by Mitchell Bros, which later became a subsidiary of the DCL. There, it was the licence holder for St. Magdalene distillery, until 1979 when all trading interests were transferred to John Hopkins & Co.
