A stunning ammonite, to be exact a Lytoceras of the Lower Jurassic (1701-187 Ma)
As a rather ‘conservative’ genre, it has remained relatively unchanged from the Jurassic to the Cretaceous.
The shape was that of a flat spiral, with a rounded body, and one could distinguish the lines of growth.
This specimen has a particular inclusion of a smaller ammonite within a marked opalescence; an opalescence in shades of orange and green.
